Relax
One of the best things about holidays is that you can take things slowly, no need to be anywhere first thing in the morning. Having children definitely changes the nature of holidays but even if you aren't sleeping in until midday, the slower pace of mornings is much appreciated. Today dawned much brighter after a few rainy days and Mum, Dad and I enjoyed our coffee on the front veranda....until a bird flew full speed into a window, thinking the reflection was more sky.
We went up to Susie and Ada's for lunch which was delightful. Bethany had a ball playing with little Max.
Jossie and Toby watched A Night at the Museum II forgoing lunch after eating many chips. I, too, rather overdid the egg and caviar dip (again) so only needed this for lunch. Mum and Dad picked the broad beans and asparagus this morning and we had them with spanish onion, bacon, toasted breadcrumbs and a vinaigrette. Delicious.
When the sun was out Nick and Marika frolicked on the lawn and Mikey played with Bethany.
It was lovely to see my cousins and we are looking forward to seeing them again at Christmas.
