The love affair with the lightbox continues though we realise that I need to make a bigger one. It is perfect for small things like a cheesecake in a cup that I manage to stop eating long enough to photograph.

But it definitely won't be big enough for a whole cake or plateful of cupcakes. I just need to find a bigger box so you can't see the sides.

The fruit for Mim's wedding cake has been soaking for weeks now and I keep meaning to actually get baking. It took me at least an hour to line the tins! As you can see, I needed the last chocolate pudding in order to complete the job.
Here they all are ready for the cake, but then I remembered that while I bought all the cake ingredients weeks ago, I didn't buy the eggs and did not have 15 of them in the fridge.
I did have three egg whites left over from making the budino di cioccolato, so Bethany and I made meringues.
In a couple of weeks my good friend Sara and I are playing the cook and the chef for a special evening at church. It is called A Taste for Life and we will be doing cooking demonstrations and some hands on plating and such. Today we baked 10 flourless chocolate tortes. Thankfully Sara is a teacher at TAFE so we used their kitchen.
Not one but two Kitchen Aids in action.
This machine puts the Kitchen Aid into shadow - 24 egg whites and nowhere near full.
I also really appreciated the commercial dish washer though my hands still took a beating. I'm glad I waited until I got home before painting my nails. I always have my toenails painted in summer but almost never do my fingernails. I'll bet I chip them by dinner time.
