Back to the Ark

It's the same old story really. I've been busy and I really need to learn how to do short and sweet posts so avoid such long gaps. I had a busy but good week at work, last week, with the highlight being the ABC Knit In on Friday. We had a round sixty women pop in over the day to knit, chat and have coffee. I even started a square myself but realise that it will most likely be handed in next year.

An entire month after her actual birthday, Bethany's party finally came around. Phil, Kristin and Charlotte came up from Melbourne which was a lovely treat for all of us. We held the party at Noah's Ark as they have good parties, we don't have to provide anything but the cake and there is no cleaning up involved. You may remember that Toby had his birthday party there in January but he was in a different room.

Children's parties are often not all they are cracked up to be but Bethany had so much fun. All but one child she invited came and there were no tears at any time. She has some delightful friends and it is a shame that they can't all be together again next year.

After the party we had lunch, put the pork in to marinate and headed out to the Junee Licorice Factory. There is nothing like packing a lot in to a weekend. Mim came over for porchetta, smashed potatoes and cherry mousse cake. Some of us ate until we didn't feel very well...

We said goodbye to Phil, Kristin and Charlotte on Sunday morning and the rest of the day passed in a whirl of church, cooking, washing and church again. My photos wouldn't upload last night so I abandoned this post. They aren't loading tonight either but I'll just post regardless which is very sad because I have cute photos.

Happy Anniversary Granny and Happy Birthday to Bamma, we miss you.
