Rain

Oops. Remember me? I'm blaming my camera which has decided to withhold my photos from the computer, but there has also been that thing where the longer you go between posts the bigger deal it is to catch up and the more you put it off. I have been composing posts in my head all the time but when I finally have time on our old, slow, used by five people computer all I seem to do is play scrabble on Facebook and then blob in front of the television. We will, at some stage, get new computers and I will get someone to have a stern word with my camera but for the moment I'll just catch up as best I can.
Milo has settled in really well. He has doubled in size and made us all adore him. Thankfully he is highly food motivated (just like the rest of the family) so he is easy to train. He is the star pupil at Puppy Pre-school and can now sit and lie down whenever you ask. The more basic skills like coming when he is called are performed erratically but he is just a puppy. He gives us no problems overnight and is, on the whole, delightful.
Everyone else is cruising along at work, school and daycare. Bethany is still loving ballet, Toby still practices the piano at every spare, and not so spare, minute and Jossie is growing up so fast. We have all taken to bike riding and will soon be purchasing better bikes for all. I ride to work on Tuesdays and having done it four times now it has ceased to be a big deal that almost kills me. Tuesday is the only day that I can ride so I do it even when it is raining! Rain is not something we expect a lot of after eight years of drought but it rained last Tuesday, yesterday and it is still raining.
I am managing to do some great reading. I really enjoyed a biography of Evelyn Waugh and George Orwell called The Same Man. I am currently reading a book about women in Paris and A.S Byatt's The Children's Book. I'll put them all up on Beyond Borders Book Club soon. Do you believe me?
