Anticipation

The camera isn't fixed yet I'm afraid, which is a terrible shame as I have a classic photo of Jossie and Bethany on a jumping castle at the school fete. Bethany had been looking forward to the fete for weeks for just one thing, the jumping castle. I bought three tickets (a bit steep at $5 each) and Jossie and Toby scrambled on while Bethany clung ineffectually to the edge, trying to climb up. Andrew went in the gate and gave her a hand and she was away. This particular castle wasn't an open jumping area but had a steep slide in the middle and a net to climb up. We were impressed that Bethany climbed up the net with no problems but then she was faced with the slide. Most slides have a gentle slope but this one was almost perpendicular. We told her to go down with Jossie and I took the best photo of a petrified person next to an exhilarated person that I have ever seen. I hope it isn't cruel, but it amuses me very much. Her face was painted as a butterfly princess too.....
I'm so pleased that tomorrow is the first day of the long weekend, I need a sleep in. We have all got something more exciting than sleeping in to look forward to. This time next week Bethany and I will be on a plane to Sydney and then on the train to Gosford to see Tim, Shona and ANNIKA! We are a little bit excited. Next month Andrew and Toby are going to see their Scottish football heroes Celtic in the flesh. No, they aren't off to Scotland, though I wish like anything that we were. Celtic are coming to Brisbane. Poor old Jossie would feel a bit left out if she weren't getting excited about her three day school excursion to Dubbo where they will actually spend a night in the zoo. Where they belong ;)
