Mouths of Babes
I took most of this week off in order to get Milo settled in. I do hope that doesn't sound pathetic, he isn't going to be terribly spoiled. I just wanted to make sure he felt at home before we all went to work and school and left him alone. It hasn't been a very restful week. I had to go into work a couple of times and there has been lots on with the kids. Jossie and Toby had an Eisteddfod on Tuesday afternoon. It was held in the lovely, old church, St Andrew's. They both played well. Jossie has been in lots of eisteddfods before and wasn't concerned but Toby was really nervous. He needn't have been as he came first. He practices at every available moment so it was a well deserved win. Actually, he also practices at unavailable moments such as when I call him for dinner, tell him to go to bed or to get into the car. He is skilled in turning something very good into something naughty!
Bethany was in the paper on Wednesday. I took a photo of the article but can't seem to get it onto the computer. The article appears every week in the Leader, the free paper delivered to all houses in Wagga. It is called Mouths of Babes and asks pre-schoolers questions such as "What would you like to be when you grow up?" and "Who is your hero?". Next to Mouths of Babes is Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down which is the only other part of the paper I read. It is an hilarious section where people say "thumbs down to the low life who stole my garden gnome" and "thumbs up to the man who restored my faith in humanity by helping me when my car broke down". The section with photos of new babies in hospital can also be worth a read for the outrageous names. A favourite, so far, is Waynene, daughter of Wayne and Charlene - classic. Bethany's photo is very cute and she wants to be a princess when she grows up, she thinks I will let her. Andrew is her hero for rescuing her when she sinks in the pool and if she had fifty dollars she would buy a lolly.
Andrew took some great photos on Sunday at church. There is a nice one of Bethany and her Godmother Mim and then they fell over resulting in this photo.
