More madness
It has been a wild weekend. I am getting a bit old for this sort of thing, I may be burning the candle at both ends a bit here. It is eight o'clock on Sunday night, I have just finished washing face paint from two faces and coloured hair spray from three heads of hair. I am absolutely exhausted so I'll share tell the story of my weekend mostly with photos.
Friday evening was spent ferrying Jossie to and from kids' club and baking 36 mini raspberry swirl cheesecakes. Too few hours after we went to bed we were up packing food and getting Toby ready for cricket. It was, most bizarrely, freezing cold. I got a call from Jubilee Oval saying that Toby had to be taken off the field and wrapped in a blanket, so we did a mercy run with extra layers. They ended up cancelling the match because it started to rain. No hat tricks then...
At two I went to church to set up for Cafe by Candlelight.
I was back again at six to get the dessert ready. I had three friends coming and by the time I thought to take photos the food was all gone! It was a great night.

Because I am such a party person(!) I went straight from Cafe to my friend Chrissie's house for another farewell. As it was so cold and windy I came home smelling so strongly of smoke that I had to leave my clothes outside and wash my hair. My glasses still smell of smoke!
After church we had Alice, Andrej, Andrew and Sophie over for lunch. Sophie makes a very cute dinosaur.
Alice most kindly took Bethany home with her so I could have a nap for an hour before we all went to the Estella Christmas Party. Estella is a suburb that is separated from the rest of town by the river and a little bit of countryside. As it sits underneath the university, all by itself we can have Christmas party just for our suburb. What fun! If only I had a day to sleep to recover...
