Dinosaur!
The Cinderella and nurse outfits are the only full costumes we own but we do have a fabulous pair of monster feet. Thankfully, Bethany's good friend Andrew has a tail and he was willing (just!) to part with it for a few days.

I was wondering why all the staff at daycare were dressed as witches until one of them mentioned Halloween. We were surprised to have a group of six children dressed as witches and other 'scary' things knock on our door in search of treats. Thankfully I had something in the cupboard that fit the bill. None of my children even registered that it was Halloween, how odd that a tiny minority want to celebrate an American holiday (I do realise that it originated in Scotland), what does it even mean??
Today my friend Chrissie had her last day at the library before she moves a long way away. We had a celebratory morning tea.

We had so much food that we ate all day. I didn't even need lunch. Chrissie is such a vibrant and colourful person that we were encouraged to dress "bright and crazy". I didn't actually get that email but Robert, who is the director of the Riverina Regional Library, certainly did.
Good work Toby!

I kept the tears to a minimum but I am really going to miss Chrissie who is both passionate and compassionate, fun, thoughtful and full of life. The library won't be the same without her but I am very excited for her, going on an adventure with her family.
Toby received a Principal's award at school this afternoon. We received an invitation to the Friday assembly to see the presentation and Andrew and I both said we would try to get there. I had to leave a meeting early and organise someone to do my reference desk shift but I made it! Andrew did too and Toby was so pleased. Here he is shaking the Head of Junior School's hand as Aunty Mim looks on.
