Mini disco divas and divos

On Friday the school put on a mini Olympics. Jossie was Italian for the day and Toby, Mexican. The flags of both countries are red, white and green so I'm not sure how they told them apart when they dressed in flag colours. The focus doesn't seem to have been on winning as Toby had no idea who won. Straight after work I picked them up from daycare and we went to the Olympics disco.

I think it was organised by parents and they were either very brave, or had no idea what they had taken on. Kindy to year 4 went from 5-6.30 and the middle school went from 7-9 and they had sausage sandwiches, chips and an iceblock. Mim was still there doing marking so she popped in to say hi.

This is a little taste of the action. Bethany danced before it became manic. Toby is somewhere in the throng but Bethany stayed next to me.

Jossie noticed that Bethany has a new way of eating her cereal. She lines up all the sultanas around the edge of her bowl and eats them last.

It reminds me of how I ate meat pies when I was young. First you cut the top off, put sauce on it and eat it. Then you put sauce in the middle, mix it in and eat the meat. Finally you put sauce in the shell and eat it. This only works at home of course. You can't be so particular at the cricket, even in the members stand. We all have our little quirks.
