Goodbyes
I've been away for a while, sorry. Last week my beloved grandfather, Bamma, died. Like my brother, Tim, I have struggled with what, if anything, to put on the blog about it. He was a wonderful grandfather and I was very lucky to have him for 36 years. He was a quiet man but everything he said was worth listening to, I used to think he knew everything. He loved to make things out of silver and I have spoons and jewellery that he made. He also made (made isn't the right word but I don't know what is) a new camellia and named it Amy. I'm so glad that my children knew him. This is my favourite photo of him. He, Joss and Toby were so excited to go for a ride on his scooter. Goodbye Bamma, we love you.
While funerals are incredibly sad events it is wonderful to spend time with the family. The day before the funeral we had lunch together and went for a walk on the beach. Poor old Jossie, she loves the beach so much that she has to get wet even when it is cold. The trials of being a country girl, far from the coast.
