Famous

Well, not exactly famous, but in the newspaper! Jossie, Toby and Bethany were called upon to be in some publicity shots for a toy library event. This nearly full page shot was in the Daily Advertiser.

Jossie was slightly miffed that her photo in the Leader was much smaller but she was comforted by the fact that every household in Wagga gets the Leader delivered for free but only people who bought the DA would have seen Toby's photo. I'd have taken Bethany's hat off myself but she probably had terrible hat hair, she had been at daycare all day.

Wednesday is cleaning day at my house and while I was cleaning in Bethany's room I looked out into the courtyard to see my little table bathed in sunlight.

I grabbed a mug, my book and my camera, set a scene that I would have loved to place myself in then took this photo and went back to the cleaning. How pathetic is that?! It isn't that I love to clean, it's just that I love having it done and get most put out when it isn't done at the proper time.

I really should have filled that mug with tea and sat in the sun because not long after this I tried to carry my large clotheshorse, covered with wet washing, outside into the sun. The new step wobbled, I went over on my ankle, fell heavily and the clotheshorse collapsed on top of me. Adults just aren't meant to fall over. I lay there, in a heap, and cried for around 30 seconds until Bethany, who witnessed the fall from the trampoline, asked me why I was crying. I got up, shook myself off and finished the vacuuming, mopping and all the cleaning and washing. What I should have done is iced my ankle as it is now swollen and a stunning array of blacks, blues and purples.

We went over to the Ks' house where I took my shoe off to inspect the damage and had a lovely hold of Sophie while Bethany and Andrew were outside "not" playing in the dirt.

I won't include a more graphic photo of my foot as I am, in fact, too vain.

Instead I will think of the things that are giving me great joy at the moment. I love my juicer and have used it nearly every day since we bought it just after our holiday.

How gorgeous are the layers?!

I have also bought a yoghurt maker and can't speak highly enough of it! Did you know that bought yoghurt sometimes has none of the lactic cultures still alive? To get the most out of the cultures in yoghurt it needs to be fresh. So delicious, so many flavours and one of my absolute favourite things to eat in the whole world is yoghurt and granola. Making fresh juice, yoghurt and granola gives me such a wonderful feeling of, I don't know, being an earth mother or something - bounty, provision and stuff like that.... Then, as soon as I have had my fill of these super foods, I like to eat a lot of chocolate. It's all about balance you know.
