Short Weekend
This weekend felt very short which is quite ridiculous when I realise that I only worked Tuesday and Friday last week. I suppose after four weeks holiday a weekend will seem insufficient to relax, especially when it is busy. Jossie's friend Eden was a delight to have overnight. She came to church with us and stayed for the lunch we had with the welcoming team. The rest of the afternoon has been spent at the park and playing outside (the kids), sweeping and sorting washing (me) and mowing (Andrew). I'll try and get the ironing done before Northanger Abbey starts. How exciting to see a Jane Austen that I haven't seen before, though I have, of course, read the book.
I am really enjoying looking back through my photos. In my last post we had arrived at the Cotswolds. Our second day there was spent driving through picture perfect countryside and villages. The Cotswolds is really the most stunningly beautiful area. We went to Broadway where Granny and Bamma had stayed at the Lygon Arms (pronounced Liggon).

Where we enjoyed this cream tea.

We went to Chipping Campden where I saw a house that took my fancy.

Just across the road from this church.

On our way back to Cally and Aunty Bunny's house we took photos at the top of the hill, looking down on Icomb. A decent view.

When we left the Cotswolds for Chesterfield, where Granny grew up, we stopped at Stratford-upon-Avon to see Shakespeare's birthplace.

While waiting for people to get out of the way so we could get a good photo of the house, we took photos in the garden.

Tomorrow we go to Warwick Castle and Chesterfield.
