Chatsworth gardens

Mum and Andrew both feel that the gardens at Versailles are better than the palace. At Chatsworth gardens and house and both spectacular and you need to have time for a good wander through both. Imagine this were your house...it doesn't even fit in one photo!

This lovely 'water feature' is where we saw that mad chicken that looked like it was on stilts.

I really loved that the gardens were a blend of formal and delightfully unstructured areas.

Lovely house.

Terrible self take of us in front of the lovely house. Our faces were being sprayed by the fountain two photos up.

This is the church steeple at Chesterfield which, according to Lonely Planet, is the one interesting thing to see in Chesterfield. They obviously don't know Trish and Geoff because we had a wonderful time at their house and the city is in such a beautiful area.

This photo was taken especially for Jossie who, typically, loves Bratz and High School Musical. We found these in a Sainsburys and Joss is a bit put out that we didn't bring them home.
