Rochdale and York

We were very sad to leave Trish, Geoff and Derbyshire. We had such a wonderful time there and need to go back to do lots of walking in the hilly countryside. We drove the pretty way, that is not on the motorway, to Rochdale and had a lovely lunch with our cousins Eunice and Roger. It was well worth it, even if we couldn't be there for very long. It was great to finally see the faces that go with the names! Mal, you are the only one who hasn't visited, hint hint.
We arrived in York at 6pm and have been out and about ever since. We have walked on the wall around the old city, have wandered the streets and had dinner at the Concerto Cafe. I had pumpkin, blue cheese and spinach lasagne and Andrew had cottage pie and a local Yorkshire ale. I did take photos but can't upload them!
They are filming a movie with Sean Bean in York at the moment and while we didn't see him (pity) we did see the set. It is in The Shambles - look it up - and we walked right through it. York is a lovely city and we wish we could be here for longer. In the morning we will see York Minster and then head towards Scotland!
We are in an Internet cafe at the moment and can't upload any photos. For the next two nights we will be at the Westerton in Callander - look it up too - so may not be able to post for a while. I just wanted you to know that we are thinking of you!
