Harry Potter

Guess where I am! I'm in The Elephant House in Edinburgh where JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The weather is sparkling, not a cloud in the sky. Our hotel is right behind the Royal Mile (well done Tim) and we are wandering around until it's time to go to church. So, I am sitting, drinking a skim mocha, where JK Rowling created a world that I love.

We watched Eurovision last night! It was so funny, the songs were often ridiculous but it is strange that the UK came last - no-one in Europe wants to vote for them and they are unable to vote for themselves. We are going to bed later and later because it is light until 10pm and because the TV is so interesting.

I was very sad to leave the Westerton this morning. Mike and Lesley say hello to Tim and Shona. Lets come together one day! Edinburgh is a beautiful city with so much to see. Tomorrow we plan to see Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Hopefully the weather will be great again for walking. Andrew is a bit disappointed that it isn't wet as expected but I am happy to remain dry. I hope you are all well!
