Cambridge
Why didn't I apply myself at school? I wish I had studied at Cambridge. Could I still? We had a wonderful day exploring Cambridge which is just over an hour from where we are now, in the lovely Suffolk countryside.
This is our bedroom.

And the garden.
It is impossible to park in Cambridge, having been built long before cars existed, so they have this fabulous arrangement called a park and ride. We parked on the edge of town and caught a bus into the centre. We found the tourist information place right away and went to King's College Chapel. It is breathtaking. Sadly we didn't want to stay quite late enough to hear evensong, so we bought a CD.

This is Senate House where you graduate.

Mathematical Bridge goes into Queen's College.

Here we are in front of Wren Library. Perhaps I could work there...

On the way back we stopped at Ickworth House, too late to go into the house but we had a wander through the park. This church was just in front of it. It reminded Andrew of something out of Midsomer. It is called St Leonard's, Horringer.

It is all so green and so old. Well, it isn't all old and it isn't all beautiful, but we like it a lot. You may have noticed that we are quite rugged up now. It has been a bit rainy and what I would call cold! We could live here for a while, we really could. Except I never want to do that flight with children in tow.
