Sophie Alice
As I mentioned in my last blog, Alice went into hospital on Monday morning to have Sophie. We just came home from visiting them and Sophie is BEAUTIFUL. Everything went well and Sophie is being a very good baby. I resisted the need to hold her for a little while to take a few photos. Jossie held her first (after my go, I got in a quick hold after the first photo) and Sophie was so calm as everyone crowded her.
I had to carefully supervise Bethany and Toby when they had a hold so Jossie took the photos. As you can tell, she didn't warn me or Sophie, though Bethany was ready.
The photography of 8 year olds tends to be a bit of a mixed bag. This one is lovely....
This one, not so lovely.....
Sadly, Pippi, our little rabbit died last Thursday. We got her a couple of years ago and she lived in a hutch but she was so bored. I used to let her out for a run and would then spend a very frustrating half an hour chasing her around the garden trying to catch her and put her back. One afternoon I just couldn't catch her so I let her stay loose in the garden. She was fine so we just let her live in the garden and that worked well for ages, except that the grass was always covered with little black pellets. Then she managed to escape out the side one day and once she had a taste of real freedom there was no keeping her in our garden, no matter what we did. Phil spent an afternoon chasing her all over our street and through bushes, he caught her too. She became Estella's (that's our suburb) bunny, spending time in lots of people's back gardens. On Thursday morning a wolf hound and greyhound caught her. I'm sure all of Estella will miss her. Jossie and Toby were upset, but now they want a dog or cat - no way!
Look what arrived yesterday. Our British Heritage Passes.
And here.
