Shared pleasures

After such a lovely evening sipping my tea from my favourite tea things I have decided to make a habit of it. Ideally I would have Earl Grey and Andrew would have Prince of Wales but we shared a pot of English Breakfast. Andrew had the cup that belonged to his sister Christine and I had the one bought at the antique fair by Phil and Kristin. Delightful. I'd like to say we were watching something other than Midsomer Murders, but we just bought seasons 4-6 on DVD. Last Friday I realised about half way through that we were watching one at the expense of a new one on TV!


Jossie spent not only Wednesday and Wednesday night, but all day Thursday at Eden's. They had a brilliant time and we are so thrilled she has lovely friends. Toby spent all of Thursday at Liam's and told me all about it while he was in the bath - I didn't get a lot of it because he talks so fast and didn't know the names of things so had to describe them in a convoluted way. Bethany and I had a fun day together and now that Blogger is co-operating I can show you what we did.


We made Daddy his favourite biscuits - choc mint bikkies. I licked one spoon and Bethany had the other to clean out the bowl. Usually I would need a greater share myself, but I had made some of the lime slice the day before so I could afford to be generous.


I would like to say that Bethany and I enjoyed the bikkies in a little tea party but I must confess that I staged this. I wouldn't trust her with my special cups. At lunch she fell off her chair while trying to look at our new digital photo frame - we turn it off at meal times now.

We played outside where there is evidence that it is, indeed, Autumn.

Happy Anzac day to everyone. We're going to make Anzac biscuits (we haven't eaten all the lime slice and choc mint bikkies, I'm going to freeze some for school next week, really) and I'm going to teach the kids to play Yahtzee.
