Recipes
Well, my housekeepers have gone home and I have eaten the last piece of rocky road. I'll have to do my own cooking now. Despite the shocking photo, Tricia knows good slice when she sees it and she has asked me to post the recipes for the slice and the cordial.
I spent around 20 minutes typing in ingredients and taking a photo of the magazine food when I had had enough and went to bed. Today I have had the brilliant idea of looking for the recipes online. This is where you find a great lemon slice recipe (obviously we used limes). It isn't exactly the same one, but it is one I often use. One tip is that I cut the butter in the base down to around 150g - not because I am fat phobic or weight conscious (heaven forbid) but because it really was too much. This is seriously good slice.
This is the exact recipe Mum used for the cordial. Really and truly, it tastes like lime curd in drink form.
I have been at work for the last couple of days, busy busy. Now, thanks to Anzac Day, I don't go back until Monday. I have decided that Jossie and I are going to take up knitting as a hobby. Just after I made that decision and found some good books, Eden's mum rang to see if Joss can go over for a sleep over tomorrow. Jossie is more than thrilled so we'll have to take up knitting a bit later on. I'm not sure I'll be any good at it, but I'll go with my current enthusiasm.
