Diary
I am so excited about our trip. I have been excited ever since Andrew suggested it and every time I book something, or decide on a place to go I almost jump up and down. When Tim went to Scotland a few years ago he was a regular blogger and I really felt almost like I had been there too. A friend from work told me earlier in the week that she is depending on me to post every detail so that it can be her experience too. I really hope that I can do that but it depends on how easily we can access computers. I know that our hotel in London has a computer in the lobby that guests can use and they have wireless Internet connection in the rooms. Maybe we need a lap top. Another work friend asked if I will keep a hand written diary of the trip. I have diaries from our family trip to the US when I was 17 (a pretty painful read these days, I hope my children turn into nicer teenagers than I was, sorry Mum and Dad) and my exchange to Japan. The Japanese one isn't so bad but mainly lists what I ate, how many letters I received and how much weight I had put on. I think it became especially limited after I started writing it in Japanese about half way through. Anyway, they do help me remember the details of those trips so I might write a diary and post pictures and details whenever I can. I'll just have to give up some sleep in order to fit it all in.
Mim came over for dinner on Thursday night and I made Nigella's mirin glazed salmon and the chocolate fondant on the cover of the latest delicious. As usual I was concentrating on eating the meal and completely forgot to photograph it - so I just took photos of the professional photos.

This morning Jossie had her first game of hockey. We have moved into the stage of life that involves Saturday morning sport. It wasn't a smooth transition. I thought the game started at 10 and was very happily sleeping in when Andrew informed me that it was 8.30 and that Jossie's game started at 9... on the other side of town. They were a bit late but after a slow start, Jossie really got into it. It was such a positive experience that Andrew took her into town and bought her shin pads and a mouth guard. All she needs now is a stick of her own and she will be all set. Next week I'll get up in time (I hope the next game will start at 10) and take pictures.
