I finished it!

I have been working on an article as the end of the 2WG project. I am co-writing it but it has been 'my turn' for ages. I really need a proper deadline and haven't had one. Today I sent it off and hopefully it will be OK so I don't have to see it again! Now I can focus on organising Internet classes for Seniors' Week and putting together the notes and questions for all the new book club books which arrived today!

Bethany and I were walking back to the car after having my very average passport photo taken. She picked up a huge leaf and we had a discussion about God. She told me that God made the leaf and that God and Jesus made her. Then she asked "Did He use a hammer?", I said no and she was very thankful because "That would hurt me".

Andrew and the kids had a lovely day while I was at work on Saturday. They went to the Farmers' Markets, as did I before work, and they bought some cricket pads for Toby! He concentrates so hard.

Andrew got some DVDs out and we didn't hold out much hope that they'd be any good. We watched Next on Saturday night. It has Nicholas Cage and Jessica Biel in it. I think, because our expectations were so low, we found it really enjoyable. Nicholas Cage is very good in action movies. The romantic element was ridiculous, I'm sure he is old enough to be her father, but despite the fact that his fake tan was off-putting, I really wanted to believe it. I imagine that is because of Moonstruck which is my favourite American movie. Gosford Park is my favourite movie ever and I love it so much that I don't care if no-one else feels the same. We also watched Hairspray with Joss and we all thought it was great. I didn't even mind Zac Efron in it though I thought that after listening to the High School Musical CDs every minute since Christmas that I'd had enough of him for a lifetime.
