Earth Hour

After my strenuous one day working week I was really looking forward to the weekend. Andrew and I slept in until 9.30, which is very late for people with young children, and I enjoyed it very much. We had a lovely, lazy day and then had Andrej, Alice and Andrew over for dinner. Alice is having Sophie on Monday morning (cesarean) so we thought we should have them to dinner before life becomes more complicated. We had elderflower punch, lamb and pasta bake and Nigella's Italian chocolate puddings. At 8 we turned all the lights off for Earth Hour. It wasn't much of a hardship really, we got candles out and watched Elizabeth: The Golden Age, which was great. It might have had a greater impact if we weren't using any electricity at all, we had tea while watching the movie, but I did have to spend ages cleaning up the wax I spilt everywhere. The blue light is the light saber Jossie got at the Easter Show.
