Happy Library Lovers' Day!

Did you even know that it is Library Lovers' Day? At my library you can go on a blind date with a book. We have new books that haven't been in circulation yet, in red bags and you borrow one without knowing what it is. I'm not at work today because I don't work on Thursdays so I am just celebrating at home.
I didn't mean to leave it quite so long between posts but I have been busy. I went to work yesterday to take part in a library planning day.The first thing we did was go into the council meeting room and watch Kevin do a brilliant job of saying sorry. Andrew stayed home with Bethany because she has been unwell since Tuesday. She has a fever but not many other symptoms. I hope she is better by tomorrow, poor sausage.

These, and the one with the heart, are the raspberry swirl cheesecakes I made for work morning tea on Monday - they were a big hit. The plum and almond cake was also delicious but very plain to look at (plus, I forgot to take a photo).

This is Joss and Hannah playing after church on Sunday.
Joss brought home her first homework yesterday. They have two weeks to do whichever activities they like, except that the spelling is compulsory, and the options are really interesting. We have to sign the box of each activity she completes. There are things like practicing typing on the computer, choosing an Australian animal and doing a report or poster on it and also helping your parents without being asked and doing something special for someone else! They also have to read every night. Jossie has gone past the top level for readers so she reads whatever she likes. This is her bed this morning showing us what she likes to read - the Bible, Paul Jennings, Go Girls and The Tiara Club. I am so thrilled she loves to read! And yes, she has three tamagotchis.
