Newspapers, School, Rain, Stuff
Here's the catch up...
Photo story first: Amy's somehow found herself in the main Riverina newspaper - we all reckon she looks great, who cares about the article! She also has been interviewed on radio recently and will be again soon apparently - quite the media personality.. I, on the other hand, have had no such glory - however I did manage to successfully install VOIP at home a few weeks back which probably means nothing to a lot of people - and who cares anyway...an I did also get a nice job offer which I'm currently considering (here's hoping my current employers don't read this!!!). I also went to Katoomba with a few mates last weekend for Mens Convention. It was fantastic, with the auditorium filled for each session.. I also went and visited the Davidsons (cousins) which was cool.
The kids keep rolling along (Bethany more so than the others - it's not her fault, it's just that she has a different metabolism :) Tobes is really starting to get the hang of school - he can now write and read a few simple words, and spends ages trying to write and figure out word hunt games and such... he's made some friends and comes home happy each day. We're having his birthday party on Saturday (we decided to leave it 'till school started so he could invite the boys from his class), so Amy's been getting everything prepared, and we'll head down to 'Airbourne Gymnastics' for what should be a great day... Joss is powering along at school - still reading at a great level (she reads a few stories to Toby every night) - and enjoying the fun of having a bunk bed in her room (we've had the first sleepover already). She's taken up Jazz dance this year as well as continuing piano, and has no shortage of friends to keep her busy too. Our precious Bethany continues to constantly amuse us - and for the past few weeks I've found great delight in grabbing a guitar ("ditar" she calls it) and spending half an hour each evening singing songs with her. I've done it with all the kids - but she gets such immense joy from it - I'm sure she's going to be quite musical whether she wants to or not...
Other news: It's rained a bit; the finches have bred again - we started with 4, now have 15. Might have to sell some soon; We've given up on the hutch and have just let Pip (the rabbit) loose in the garden - she loves it, just bounds around the place, doing rabbit stuff (not 'that' rabbit stuff - there's no male around.... please); I installed Vista at home; I've started painting away all that disasterous light blue from all around our house (what the heck were they thinking!!)... and.... that's your catch up.
