Placements, parties and the pyrenees

What a few weeks we've had. Let me give you the run-down.

Amy has been on proffessional placement at the Wagga City Library and has really enjoyed it. For the 3 weeks that she's been there full time, Amy's mum graciously spent the time here with us, looking after the kids when they were not at either day care or with me. They now are accustomed to their morning drives to the local coffee shop for the day's 'pick-me-up', so we may need to adjust our schedules and take up coffee to keep it happening. We can't thank Anne enough - she was a wonderful help and we all really enjoyed having her here.

Jossie turned 7 on the 15th and thus now owns a plethora of secret diaries and dolls. We had her party today which mainly consisted of making stuff. Homemade pizza's, beading (necklaces and bracelets), making cupcake birthday cakes... etc. There was a lot of dancing, singing, a number of games and of course a few more presents. It was a great success and you can see a few more photos if you click the one above.

For the last 3 weeks I've been suffering a stupid cold - not helped by working too much - or sleeping too little. But the latter is necessary if I were to keep up with the pace of the Tour de France. This year has been remarkable and it blows me away to think that after 18 or so stages of more than 200km each - there is only 30 seconds separating the top 3 riders. Amazing.

So that's it... in a nutshell.
