Nice colours

Toby recovered quickly. The swelling went down in a couple of days and now he's just left with this "bruiser". You can see how fortunate we are that they missed his eye! Too many people have now told me of people being blinded in a similar fashion - I suppose it's a good reminder to keep vigilant. I was thinking - you can't police your kids 24 hours a day - they could just as easily fall off something, run into something, crash their bike, run onto a road; I guess we're just learning to develop our parental 6th sense...

In other newsworthy news, 2 girls from church (I think they are in year 7 or 8) came over and looked after the kids this arvo. They planned the whole thing, took them to the park, the shops (bought them lollies - fed Bethany an entire snake), played games and basically babysat them while Amy studied. Amy didn't need them to babysit, they just really wanted to, so did. Amy had made them a cake and just stayed out of their way - she tells me that young girls just like to do this sort of thing... isn't that nice!

Bethany is speaking a lot. My favorite word of hers is "Happy". She is pretty cute I think - you can click on the above photo which will take you to see other photos, there is a recent one of her there.
