Growing up

OK, so I am more of a blog reader than writer.... sorry about that. I have been writing a fascinating essay on Total Quality Management and why libraries should consider implementing it. Let me know if you want me to send you a copy. Now that I have finished my two assignments, no thanks to the kids who have ALL been sick at just the wrong time, I am free to finish organising the jewellery making and dessert night for church on Saturday. Mmmmm, chocolate cheesecake loaf.
So, what funny little things are the kids doing at the moment? Well, Jossie is really into writing. She'll write on anything, tissues, other people's important documents, it doesn't matter. The other day she wrote a sort of map on a tissue and gave it to me. A couple of months ago she would have asked for the spelling of every word. That was getting very annoying so I am glad that now she just sounds things out. Here are some of the things on the map - Jocelyn room, Mamey room, Bethney room, Toby room, langroom, plaroom, barthroom and cichen. Then we go awt sid where there is grars. In Jossie's room there is Poley Pockt, Woofool (thats you Mal!) and this one was really hard to work out - my sribool picr - it turns out to be her scribble picture that she did at daycare years ago. She and I also enjoyed the joke when she tried to write a note to her friend telling her she liked her, but wrote that she licked her.

Toby goes through phases of using one word a lot, regardless of whether it makes sense in what he is saying. First it was 'actually', as in 'actually my nose is running', then it was 'and that means', as in 'my nose is running and that means I'm thirsty', the latest one is 'I've changed my mind', as in 'I've changed my mind, I had a sleep today'.

Bethany is 14 months old, and she walks! It is not yet her preferred way of getting around, but she is doing a lot more of it.She is mainly funny because she tries to copy whatever you do, and she is also funny when she dances. She likes Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush - great taste!

It is absolutely beautiful in Wagga at the moment. The weather is getting warmer and the blossoms are out. Please imagine a photo of a pink cherry blossom here. We have one next door but I haven't taken a photo of it, and I don't know how to put photos on Flikr, so I'll enjoy it for you.

I think that is all I have to write about at the moment, I'll write again in a couple of months.
