Good ideas are great to copy, so I decided to follow Mal & Marlee's suit and head to the snow for a day with Joss. It's not that far from here, so I hired Joss some gear, borrowed stuff for myself, and we set off for Mt Selwyn on Saturday. It hadn't snowed for a while, so was a bit thin on the ground, but there was plenty for Joss to toboggan on, and plenty to make snowmen. When they get a bit more snow I'll take Toby (Amy's not all that keen although I'd love for her to come), and if he has half as much fun as Joss it'll be worthwhile.

As fun as tobogganing is however, I'd also like to have a ski myself at some stage. So if anyone is interested, before the season is out, I plan on heading over for a day or two. You would be most welcome.
