In order to make the two car trips worthwhile (because I really don't like them) we packed a lot of fun into the three full days we were in Sydney. Disney on Ice - Princess Classics was spectacular. Joss and Tobes are still talking about it. We went to Darling Harbour and did a lap and a half on the monorail. Bethany spent the day with Nan and Grandad. We bought a programme so the kids could remember it and show their friends - we are glad that they have both looked at it everyday since seeing as it cost $24!
Sunday was a cold, wet and windy day so we were very thankful that Sue organised the church hall as an alternative to the park. It was a great party venue, better then the park would have been in good weather, and it was so good to see family and friends. Jossie is loving the fact that her birthday is lasting so long.
On Monday we went to the zoo with Tim. Joss and Tobes kept up with all the walking and loved seeing all the great animals that God made. My favourites were the lions and the meercats. Thanks to Tim for spending a lovely day with us, and to Sue and Ron for looking after Bethany. One day she will be old enough for all this stuff.
As always, I am really glad to be home (it reminds me of how great it will be to get to heaven). Andrew is back at work and Jossie has a hectic social schedule. Tomorrow is her actual birthday (believe it or not there will still be one more celebration to come next week), and Jossie's school friend Hannah is coming to play.
At one minute past nine on Saturday morning I will be picking up my copy of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I will resurface when I have lived through Harry's seventeenth year....can't wait.
