The best of neighbours
It's high time I posted about Steve & Jane... These two are a lovely Christian couple who's friendship we've come to really enjoy and appreciate over the last year or so. They live just up the road, and if on any regular day I haven't borrowed their ute or mower, or one of them hasn't come over to chat or to look after the kids for a bit, or they haven't come around looking for mexican outfits or to use our shower because their hot water system is dodgyville, or we haven't taken around jelly with a spanner in it - it's an unusual day.
In many ways they have been a blessing to us and to our kids, who adore them! We can't opt out of being parents whenever we choose, it's full time work (which we wouldn't change), but phone calls offering the loan of a car, or a timely meal when Amy's pressed to get everything done make our job of running our family a little easier and are true indications of godly servanthood.
It seems an eternity ago when we were at their stage of life, (ie before JT&B turned up - and it's not that long ago really) but both Amy and I love being part of their lives and sharing that stage with them, as I know they enjoy where we're at and I'd guess look forward to it too (at least judging by this photo ;)

We're fortunate to have many families in our suburb who we know and enjoy spending time with. Good neighbours you can't really choose. So it's lovely when you have them!

Jane & Amy under the delusion that this bloke is in
someway superior to Steve and myself.
I'd like to see him fell a wattle tree (it was pretty big).
