As I was saying before someone lost a tooth...

Last weekend was fun. This last week has been (and still is) very busy. I am living on very little sleep, but whatareyagonnado?

Last weekend I abandoned Amy and the kids and headed to Sydney with a few others to pretend I was single and responsibility free again. We left Wagga at about 7:30am and made it to Darling Harbour midday-ish... The others booked into the motel (I stayed at Flip and Rob's) and then we made our way down to the jetty to go Jet Boating. 45 knots out through the heads, down past Bondi, Coogee, then north to Balmoral then round the harbour a bit. It was fast, fun airborne and slightly educating..

After that, we decided to go to the IMAX cinema, so we did. We saw the Polar Express despite it being February, after which I headed off to Belrose and chatted for a while with Flip & Rob (and Brooke) before getting to bed about 1am. Early rise, organic breakfast, and off to Penrith for some white water rafting. I was a little early so checked out where the ol' Krispy Kreme store was located... The rafting was awesome, I didn't fall out so easily but was eventually persuaded with a few timely shoves and well directed feet... Then it was lunch, then it was off to Krispy Kreme to do more than just look.

By this stage we needed to get a move on to make it to the cricket in time. The second final of the tri-nation series at the SCG between Australia and Pakistan started around 3pm. After sitting in traffic for a rediculous amount of time in the back of a car, both eardrums and lower back being massaged by an enthusiastic sub-woofer - we made it to the Dally Messenger stand and sat in fairly warm, or should I say very hot, sunshine to watch the event. The game itself was nothing to write home about, but just being there was fun. Rob and Andre (whom I hadn't seen in years - in fact the last time was also at the SCG - how about that!) came along and we ate bad food and watched Australia win (suprise suprise). After that, we sat in a car, in a carpark for a stupid amount of time, and eventually I got back to F & R's at about midnight. Got to sleep at 1am, up at 6am, drove to Darling Harbour for breakfast with the gang, then back to Wagga.

We got back to Wagga at 1pm and I went to work at 2pm - worked untill 11pm went home, slept then started work at 7am Tuesday for our accreditation!! ie the biggest day of our calandar and occurs once every 3 yrs. On top of that - I don't think I even mentioned being on-call...

Anywho, now it is Saturday and I'm again at work - tomorrow also (we're still training a weekend scientist) - so I hope that has explained my initial sentence. But would I change anything???? YES - course I would, I'd take a couple of days off either side and sleep longer...

Oh - almost forgot... went to see the Brumbies play the Chiefs here in Wagga last night as part of a work function. Fun night despite being seated between an Orthopod and a Urologist. The Brumbies won, but I didn't win the Brumbies signed jersey. D'oh!!
