Out with the old, in with the new.
Those of you who have spent time with Bethany know that she doesn't do a lot of crying. The other night we put her to bed and expected to hear from her again the following morning, but instead she started making funny noises. She sounded a bit like those raptors from Jurassic Park. We got her up and thought she sounded like she was in pain, but after she sat on my lap for a while, I put her to bed and that was the end of it. The next day I was playing with her and saw something small and white in her mouth - her first tooth! The one next to it is nearly out too. Then I was playing with Joss and noticed that the same teeth in her mouth looked a bit strange and so I felt them and discovered that they are wobbly. Our little girls are growing up.
We had a great trip up north for Christmas. The car trips were bearable and seeing family and friends was wonderful. Joss and Tobes gained some skills - Joss started swimming on her own and Toby became more confident in the water and learnt to climb out of the pool. Toby also went from being terrified of dogs to playing with Chloe for hours. We only needed an icepack once(for Toby of course), and brought home lots of great presents. I reckon by next Christmas I'll be ready to do it again.
Here's part two of the Christmas pictorial...
Fun in the pool
Bethany and newest cousin Brooke
Mal and Andrew - striking resemblence? hmmm
Tobes, Joss, Alannah and Holly.
Beware of Toby with hose...
The dreadlock gang.
Beth munchin' on Uncle Ty's spare finger
Good fun catching up with Nobbsy -
no change, just slightly more gray and child in tow...
He may appreciate the ballet - but this boy's lacking no testosterone!
So now we are planning a birthday celebration for Toby, Steve and Ollie. Toby wants a Hickory Dickory Dock cake. Joss was a bit concerned about the mouse on it, she asked what it was, and I told her it was a prune. She said she wasn't going to eat it, but Toby exclaimed 'I'll eat a prube!'. I'll let you know how it goes down.
