Reunion...

It's been a week since the last post, and a pretty full one. The building is coming along nicely, electrical work done, plumbing done, and the walls would be going up today except we discovered we need a frame inspection before that can happen... so walls go up tomorrow. It's interesting to watch the whole process. I'll post some photos of it sometime later.

The highlight of the week though was a whirlwind visit by my Irish mate Paul, his wife Sara, their 2 kids Ryan & Dan and Sara's mum Phyllis. They came to Wagga for 2 busy days. I worked with Paul about 5 years ago before he headed off back to Ireland. It was a work experience we're sure can't be repeated - too much fun and sillyness for a workplace, and a level of wit that we were dubiously proud of! The Irishman was (and still is) a fanatical Celtic supporter and got me into it, and 5 years ago I vowed I'd fly the flag for Celtic in Australia, and most people could attest that I have! We both had 1 child at the time they headed home - so we were both very keen to meet each others firstborn five years down the track... and it was a real pleasure! Both Ryan & Dan are lovely kids, well brunged up and we were delighted to see Joss & Ryan having such a great time together. Paul & I headed off to a quiet bar after the kids had gone to bed, to catch up on 5 years and laugh about ridiculous things... and decided to meet up in another 5...
