Oh Brother.....
We've been watching Big Brother. Don't ask why, we just have. Anywho, I've been noticing that every house mate that gets evicted comes out saying something along the lines of "I don't regret anything I did in there" often accompanied with "I was true to myself and that's the most important thing". It seems a common theme in all shows where people are asked to make an account for their actions. I'd personally like to see someone come out and say "in hindsight, I acted like an idiot, was rude to people, and was generally inconsiderate and selfish" followed by "I was true to myself and that's the most important thing". This whole thought process made me wonder if we perceive ourselves correctly - are we really like what we think we are like? I don't believe anyone thinks they are perfect, but wonder if we think we are better people than we really are in reality. The obvious Christian perspective on this is that no-one is perfect and God doesn't accept anyone who is less than perfect - that's why Jesus came and did what he did. So although watching Big Brother is (in reality) mainly just a heckling outlet for Amy and I, it's also a good reminder to monitor our own behaviours....24hrs/day 7days/week...
On another note, check this out - make your own music! It's kinda fun.
