"Chocks away"
I used to (and still do) love reading 'Footrot Flats' (a New Zealand comic book). It never really made you laugh out loud, but often made you smile. Thinking back over these last few days of trial, I recalled a funny little line that the dog made.... He was suffering from a 'tummy bug' and whilst feeling miserable, a ladybeetle landed on him... He said "ladybug, ladybug, fly away home" - and it did - then he got the idea to say "tummybug, tummybug, fly away home" - then ran out of his kennel saying "chocks away!" Never comes off well second hand, but at least introduces my next paragraph...
Had to take Toby to the Doc on Friday because he kept throwing up - ended up being gastro and the flu... Joss joined the party at 3am Saturday with an offering of her own... Meanwhile, Janice and Josh were here (Janice giving the children's ministry seminar at the women's conference) and Amy was busy with conference organisation and everything else... Saturday came and went with the girls and Josh at the conference and me at home with the two sick ones, a bottle of flat Sprite and toast with vegemite and no butter... Sunday came, Amy and the kids stayed at home, Janice and Josh headed north, I went to church... We put the kids into bed tonight and about an hour ago, Tobes woke up and "chocked away" again.... (D'oh). Amy really hates it when the kids are sick - I hate it when they make a mess (they usually get better by themselves, but I often clean up their messes!), so at least we complement each other that way....
Well - this all sounds pretty dreary, so here are some photos to prove it's not all bad... and for the sake of completion, the conference went very well.....
Josh, Janice, Joss - what a cheeky grin that boy has ;)
We often spend Saturday morning at Junee Pool, Joss loves it
Toby has a 'pool face', notice the well placed advertising!
