Sleep, eat well and exercise...

I'm not at work today - I've taken a day off because Amy, Tobes and myself are all a bit under the weather. We are all snuffling about, trying to get some decent rest and back to normal. We're not a 'sickly' family by nature, so it tends to throw us when we come down with something... We've had a fun week though - Amy's parents came and stayed for a few days, which we all really enjoyed. Amy tried a few new recepies for them (and us) and the kids were very excited to have them here... Importantly, Anne & Roger had a relaxing time after a long harvest.... Also plans for the garage renovations were finished, so we will have deluxe guest accommodation soon :) It will also be my studio, so I cannot wait to get it all done.
Saturday came and it was our churches Big Day Out... We had to get up rediculously early to vote (council elections) and then Joss and I drove to Junee (about 30mins from Wagga). Amy and Tobes had the day at home by themselves because Tobes wouldn't last the day without a sleep. It was such a fun day, there were 3 really great talks given, lots of music and food, and a well thought out and prepared programme for the kids.

Always fun to get everyone together

New songs, lots of stories, craft etc etc etc...

Joss had a brilliant day. She and I spent all afternoon at the Junee pool complex with lots of other families - I couldn't get over how un-crowded it was for a very warm Saturday afternoon.. We got home at 7:30pm and thankfully had an extra hours sleep before church on Sunday. I cancelled golf Sunday afternoon (that's as good as a medical certificate), and while I sat down to watch Australia beat Sri Lanka in the cricket, Amy spent all night working on an assignment...

So that's the latest.... we are now recovering from whatever it is we're suffering from... must remember those basics for staying healthy...
