How's this for a coincidence...
Finished work today, went and played 9 holes at the country club and came home. A couple of the blokes in the street were out having a beer so I went and joined them for our periodic catch up.. One of the guys runs Bunnings, the enormous hardware store in town - and he's always good for a story... Tonight's was no different.
Tim is one of 9 kids! His dad originally was married to his aunt, who was tragically killed by a drunk driver, along with Tims brother. His dad the survived the crash, along with his sister (sibling no.1). If you are still with me - read on...
His dad then married his first wifes sister (Tims mum) and they generated another 8 kids... Years on, Tims oldest sister ie the one in the crash, married this bloke Trevor, who went camping some place and got talking to this guy. After a few ales this bloke started telling him specific details about this accident he'd caused - killing half a family.... Trev didn't let on, and the night came and went. Tim says that Trev kicks himself for not saying anything - he is upset that he didn't give himself the chance to forgive the guy on behalf of the family... they have moved on, and they hold no grudges... however - the drunk drivers life was a mess....
Just goes to show the importance of forgiveness...
