No end to the creativity...
Well - my little blister Sare came to stay with us for a few days. It was great - we always have a great time with her and Ty (who couldn't make it this time - he popped over to Alice Springs to get his hair put in dreads... like you do!). Sare and Amy spent 3 days painting the kitchen, plus the bed we were given by people at church for Toby and it all looks great (Sare: thanks for all your hard work, you are nothing less than excellent - I'll post some pictures maybe tomorrow). Sare and I also found time to record a song on my PC - sort of a classical / jazz hybrid - I think this is the sort of music I like writing the most as they have been my two biggest influences. I hate catorgorising music, and love merging things that don't traditionally mix well.
Tonight we had dinner at Paul and Julie Willis' place - friends from church. In our books they are extra cool because they named their boys Tom, Bruce and Robert; also because Paul is a drummer and has that never-say-die appreciation for some Christian bands of the 80's... (Paul: side note - I just discovered that I recorded on the same album as Randall Waller! - whatdoyaknow!!) It was cool to hang out with church friends for a bit (even better when the food is great!) - but with almost 6 kids between us, this sort of thing is never easy to organise - always worth it though...
Tomorrow is the weekend - more painting, more gardening, more music.... it's getting hot again after a few days respite, might get that ol' pool out again....
